One Piece

One Piece is the story of Monkey D. Luffy, the boy who's ambition is to be The King of Pirates. To do this, he must go through the Grand Line and find the greatest treasure, One Piece. When Luffy was a kid, he met a pirate captain named Shanks. Shanks forever stayed Luffy's idol, leading Luffy on to become a captain as well. But during the time Luffy spent with Shanks, Luffy ate a strange fruit Shanks and his crew brought back. This fruit, was a Devil's Fruit, a fruit which gives the eater supernatural abilities, but removes their ability to swim forever. The fruit Luffy ate, was the 'Gum-Gum Fruit', giving him the ability to stretch his body to unimaginable limits. In other words, he could be sitting in your bedroom and stretch his arm all the way into the kitchen to grab a snack.

When Luffy turns 17, he leaves his village and sets of to find a crew. But he is caught in a whirlpool and has to hide in a barrel to keep from being destroyed with his make-shift boat. He is brought up onto the deck of a fancy ship which is soon taken over by pirates. Along with the pirates is an easily frightened boy named Koby. Koby finds the barrel Luffy's in, not knowing a person is inside. Some of the pirates come and find Koby with the barrel Luffy is in and try to break it open thinking wine is inside. Luffy ends up popping out and K.O.ing one of the pirates. After the pirates leave, Luffy starts talking to Koby and soon makes friends with him. As it turns out, Koby was forced into working for the pirates by a mishapp with a fishing boat. Koby's dream, unlike Luffy's, is to be in the Navy. Soon after they talk, the pirates' captain comes. This is Arrita, a fat ugly lady who thinks she's absolutely gorgeous. Luffy 'insults her' by asking "Who's this fat ugly woman?", and the fight begins. Luffy soon beats her and her entire crew and leaves with Koby. (This all happens in the 1st episode btw :3)

Soon, Luffy and Koby arrive on an island where a Navy base is set up, they are looking for the infamous three swordsman, Roronoa Zoro. Zoro had been 'captured' by the navy. He and the son of the cornel made a deal that if Zoro could last for 4 weeks without food, that he could go. But the jerk who made the deal with Zoro didn't want to keep up to his promise. Luffy punched him and the rebellion against that navy base starts. Luffy meets with Zoro and asks him if he can use a sword (not knowing he's a 3 swordsman) Zoro says yes and tells him the cornel's son, Helmeppo took it. Luffy goes off to find Helmeppo and get the swords back while Koby runs to where Zoro is held and tries to untie him. Koby fails and the navy arrives to kill Zoro on the spot. Luckily, Luffy comes flying through the window of Helmeppo's room just in time and lands in front of Koby and Zoro protecting them from the bullets (you know, rubber and all that) Luffy gives Zoro the swords and then they beat the cornel.

The next adventure ends up with Zoro having to follow Luffy by boat, who gets carried off by a bird. The boat Zoro's following in is slowed down when 3 pirates of Clown Buggy's pirate crew try to take it over. Zoro beats the crap out of them and makes them row for him. Soon they get him to the town which Luffy was taken to and Zoro goes off in search of his partner. Meanwhile, Luffy has met Nami, a thief who steals only from pirates and just nabbed the map which leads to the Grand Line. Luffy saves her from Buggy's crew and asks her to join him. Nami thinks up a plan and uses Luffy to make it look as if Luffy had stolen the map and she'd caught and returned him. Luffy gets locked up in a cage and soon Buggy's crew tries to shoot a bomb at him. Nami stops them. Soon Zoro comes in and tries to beat Buggy. Buggy takes a daggar and stabs Zoro in the waist (owwie) With the last strength he has, Zoro picks up Luffy, cage and all, and brings him back into the main part of town. Zoro loses A LOT of blood in the process. They find a dog named Shu-Shu (this dog comes back into play soon)
