Hotaru is the reason why Mikan came to Alice Academy. Her Alice is Invention and her favourite subject is Nano Technology. In the shows, she appears to be cold and sometimes mean. However, really deep in her heart, she really cares about Mikan.

Hotaru is Mikan's best friend. She and Mikan have what may seem to be a doubtful and strange relationship. Hotaru comes off as cold, quiet, composed, and bad-mouthed. Her "stupid" points are her tendency of being a "pig" when it comes to food and her greedy side. Her Alice is Invention, which allows her to create unique and strange inventions.

Even though she is always calling Mikan "dummy", and treats her unkindly most of the time, she really does care for her and loves her. She is not very good at showing how she feels. Like Natsume, she is mostly poker-faced and rarely smiles.

Hotaru seems to have a serious humor about her, which is very entertaining. Not only is she the only one who knows how Mikan feels towards Natsume, she also happens to know who other students have feelings for.

She belongs to the Technical Class. She is currently a Triple Star.

Mikan is the protagonist of the story. She is a cute, energetic, good-natured girl, but her clumsiness lands her into trouble. She is a very up-an-at-it person, much to annoyance of her down-to-earth friend, Hotaru. She used to live with her grandfather in the country.

She was shocked to hear that Hotaru was moving back to the city to go to an academy for young 'geniuses' like her. When she heard rumors that students were like slaves in Alice Academy (which she felt was a possibility, since they gave money to parents for sending their children to the school), Mikan left her grandfather and her home to go after Hotaru by herself.^[1][2] She was then accepted to Alice Academy by Narumi-sensei and could attend Alice Academy with Hotaru and many other children with extraordinary powers.

She once belonged to the Special Ability Class. In chapter 96, she got transfered to the Dangerous Ability Class, and she is now the Elementary Principal's precious favorite. She is currently a Single Star.

Gakuen Alice

Gakuen Alice (学園アリス, Gakuen Arisu^?) is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Tachibana Higuchi, currently being serialized in the shōjo manga magazine Hana to Yume.^[1] It was adapted into an anime series, produced by Aniplex and Group TAC which spanned twenty-six episodes, originally premiered on NHK BS-2, between October 30, 2004 and May 14, 2005. The anime was translated and dubbed into English by the anime television network, Animax, which has then been broadcast in its respective networks within Asia.^[2]

Digimon Savers Data Squad (Season Five)

After a three year hiatus, a fifth Digimon series began airing on April 2, 2006. Like Frontier, Savers has no connection with the previous installments, and also marks a new start for the Digimon franchise, with a drastic change in character designs and story-line, in order to reach a broader audience. The story focus on the challenges faced by the members of D.A.T.S. ("Digital Accident Tactics Squad"), an organization created to conceal the existence of the Digital World and Digimon from the rest of mankind, and solve any Digimon related incidents occurred on Earth in secret. Later the D.A.T.S. team is dragged between a massive conflict between Earth and the Digital World triggered by an ambitious human scientist determined to make use of the Digimon to his own personal gains. The English dub premiered on the Jetix block of Toon Disney at October 1, 2007 at 8:30 PM.

Digimon Frontier (Season Four)

The fourth Digimon series, which began airing on April 7, 2002. After prompted to do so by unusual phone messages, the five main characters go to a subway station and take a train to the Digital World, to fight the antagonist, Cherubimon and his Legendary Warrior servants before they succeed in dominating the world. Later facing a greater ordeal and threat from Lucemon,(probably named after Lucifer, also known as the Devil) and the two Royal Knights: Crusadermon and Dynasmon, who, when teamed up, use the DNA Disintegrator, which can destroy other Digimon's DNA, therefore permanently destroying them and not allowing them to reincarnate as new Digi-Eggs. Contrary to the other Digimon series, the characters do not have Digimon Partners and use their Digivices to transform themselves into powerful Digimon to fight their enemies, another new feature in the series. However, This season was never aired in the UK.
